Dennis Hofman

I was trained in biological psychology at Utrecht University, and graduated in 2007 on a transcranial magnetic stimuatation (TMS) study on the effects of threat on cortical excitability. After graduation, I started my PhD training under supervision of Dr. Dennis Schutter, a series of studies on the neural correlates of aggression in social contexts. In my studies, I use several research techniques such as EEG (resting-state as well as event-related), TMS (modulatory rTMS as well as single/paired-pulse to study cortical functioning), tDCS, EMG and a variety of behavioral measures of human behavior. Currently, I am employed in the NWO-VICI funded project on peri- and extrapersonal space, a project led by Prof. Chris Dijkerman
