Anouk Keizer wins best demo award at Dutch/Belgian Haptics network meeting

Anouk demonstrated the full-body illusion that she uses for her research on body image disorders in anorexia patients at the Dutch/Belgian Haptics meeting on 27 March. The jury was  impressed and awarded her the best demo award which consists of 500 euro.

The illusion uses combination of a virtual image of a body displayed on the oculus rift together with synchronous visuotactile input to create the illusion that the body you see in the oculus is actually your own body. Anouk’s research investigates whether body image disturbances in anorexia nervosa can be modulated using the full body illusion.oculus
